Dr. KlarX™ Rust Off Ready-to-Use formulation removes rust stains from all meta, fiberglass, masonry, and concrete surfaces.  It is biodegradable and does not contain animal fat or solvents.  It contains blends of synthetic low-pH cleaners and detergents.

Use Instructions

Hard Surfaces

1. Protect surrounding areas from overspray when removing rust and rinsing.
2. Apply with a paintbrush or roller on areas where rust is present.
3. Allow 3-5 minutes to penetrate.
4. Wash the surface with water.
5. Repeat the process until rust stains are removed.

Hard to Remove Stains

1. Protect surrounding areas from overspray when removing rust and rinsing.
2. Pre-wet surface with water.
3. Allow 3-5 minutes to penetrate.
4. Scrub the surface with a nylon brush followed by a high-pressure rinse.
5. Use plenty of water to rinse the surface thoroughly.
   1. Do not let rinse-water puddle on surrounding clean surfaces.
   2. Direct any rinse-water away from surrounding clean surfaces to avoid staining.
6. Repeat the process until rust stains are removed.
7. Do NOT allow the solution or rinse water to dry on the surface.

Cleaning Polished Surfaces

2. We recommend using a test panel or test in an inconspicuous location when removing rust on polished, glazed, or smooth surfaces.
3. Prolonged use of this product can remove shine and glaze from the surface.
4. Test in a small area first to determine the results and effectiveness of the product.

Note: This product is a rust remover and does not address the source of rust from paint failure, abrasion, spalling, or scratches.

Safe Handling

Neutralize spills with baking soda solutions, and rinse with plenty of water.  Clean all tools and handling equipment with baking soda solution and water.

Storage

Always store this product in its original container.
Keep the container closed when not in use.
Keep from freezing and away from excess heat.
Avoid temperatures above 110 °F, or below 40 °F.
Do not mix with other cleaning product or with polish or bleach.

Safety

Keep out of reach of children.
Refer to SDS prior to use and follow directions carefully.
Wear rubber gloves and eye protection.
Keep away from open wounds or cuts.

First Aid

EYES: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water.  Get medical attention if irritation persists.
SKIN: Wash any exposed affected body parts thoroughly with soap and water.  Consult a physician if irritation develops.
INGESTION: If this product is swallowed, take milk of magnesia or antacid and see a physician immediately.
