BioCap™ Hog Lagoon SEBS is a biologically enhanced treatment designed to reduce odors, solids, crusting, calcification, and gas emissions in hog and dairy lagoon systems. Capable of reducing odors by up to 95% depending on lagoon age and solid accumulation, odor control is typically achieved within one week of application.

The product will not deplete the fertilizer value of the manure or destroy ammonia, nitrate, and other manure nutrients, which are essential when applying to farm fields.

 

Challenge

Heavy organic waste loadings in lagoon systems generate high levels of solids, malodor, crust formation, mineral deposits, and hazardous gases like methane and hydrogen sulfide. These conditions compromise lagoon operation, damage infrastructure via uric salt mineral deposits, and impact environmental health.

 BioCap™ Hog Lagoon SEBS utilizes a stabilized blend of Bacillus and Pseudomonas strains, optimized for rapid degradation of waste organic matter.  This biological formulation:

• Enhances settling by consuming Total Suspended Solids (TSS)

• Minimizes malodor and hydrogen sulfide gas

Directions & Mixing Instructions

• Review label for storage, handling, and safety.
• Shake well before use.
• Mix one package of SEBS Activator per 5-gallon bucket; allow to set for 30 minutes before application.
• Apply evenly around lagoon perimeters, via direct pouring, injection, or spray.
• For crusted surface lagoons, apply to the liquid underneath the crust.
• Use aeration to expedite digestion and liquefaction.

Note:

• Dosage may be adjusted based on sludge accumulation on the bottom of the lagoon.
• For every one acre-foot, add an additional 5-gallon SEBS with 2.5 pounds of activator for the initial treatment.
• For every one acre-foot, add an additional 2.5-gal SEBS with 1-lb activator for monthly maintenance.
