BioCap Hog Pit EcoBlend is a biologically engineered bacterial system formulated to reduce odors, solids, crusting, calcification, and gas emissions in discharge and closed-loop lagoon and swine pit systems.  It effectively diminishes odors by up to 95% within one week of application, without depleting manure’s fertilizer value or harming essential nutrients such as ammonia and nitrates.

Challenge

Heavy organic waste loadings in swine lagoons and pits lead to increased solids, malodor, crust formation, mineral calcification, and dangerous gases including methane and hydrogen sulfide.  These conditions impair pump and line functionality through mineral deposits and negatively impact environmental and livestock health.

Solution

BioCap Hog Pit EcoBlend utilizes a stabilized, synergistic blend of Bacillus and Pseudomonas strains, selectively adapted for rapid degradation of waste compounds.  The product enhances lagoon treatment by:

• Consuming Total Suspended Solids (TSS)

Recommended Dosage & Application

Apply on a monthly schedule based on barn size and pig population:

Note: A ± spread of 200 animals is not recommended.

Use Instructions

1. Review label for storage, handling, and safety.
2. BioCap™ Hog Pit EcoBlend must be activated with BioCap™ Hog Pit Activator.
   1. BioCap™ Hog Pit EcoBlend: Determine how many 5-gallon pails will be used for your treatment based on the recommended dosage.
3. BioCap™ Hog Pit Activator: One pound will be required for every 5-gallon bucket of BioCap™ Hog Pit EcoBlend
4. Shake BioCap™ Hog Pit EcoBlend well before activating.
5. Thoroughly mix BioCap™ Hog Pit Activator with BioCap™ Hog Pit EcoBlend to create an activated solution.
6. Let the activated solution stand for 30 minutes before Step #6.
7. Even Distribution: Every 5 gallons of activated solution needs to be equally divided into four 5-gallon pails of water and mixed thoroughly.
8. Apply the activated solution evenly across the pump-outs.
9. When outside application is not feasible, apply along the barn center at evenly spaced locations.
10. Application Timing:
    1. Best results are obtained within 30 days of pumping the pit.
    2. Do not treat pits with more than 2.5 feet of manure without prior shock dosing.

Important Notes

• Ensure microbes contact the manure directly, especially beneath crusts.
• Maintain a consistent treatment schedule for optimal results.

Storage & Handling

• Store out of direct sunlight, at temperatures between 40°F and 120°F.
• Keep containers closed when not in use.
• Wear protective gloves and eye protection during handling.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and open wounds.
