NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz RTU – Advanced Concrete Hardener & Sealer – (5 Gallon)

300 sq ft per gallon, depending on finish and porosity of surface

Product Info

NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz is a concrete densifier, sealer, and chemical hardener complex. It is a ready-to-use, colorless liquid, formulated with chemically reactive nano-materials to harden and dustproof concrete.  It will significantly improve abrasion and chemical resistance and the durability of the concrete surface.

NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz penetrates the concrete surface, producing a chemical reaction where a byproduct is formed that fills in the pores of the concrete.  This process produces a substantially denser concrete surface with enhanced durability.  In addition to the densifying and hardening action, it solidifies the concrete, eliminating dusting and pitting.  Meets maximum VOC content limits of 400 g/L for Concrete Protective Coatings as required by the U.S. EPA Architectural Coatings Rule.

Concrete properly treated with NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz is USDA-accepted.

Where to Use

Recommended for use wherever hardened, dust-proofed, and improved chemical and abrasion-resistant surfaces are required. Ideal applications include floors in industrial plants and warehouses, storage silos, sewage plants, chemical processing facilities, refineries, and heavy pedestrian floor traffic areas, such as civic centers, sports arenas, stadiums, hospitals, airports, and museums.  NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz can successfully be used in conjunction with shake-on hardeners.

Features

  • Eco-friendly, natural Nano-Biochemistry
  • No hydrocarbons or solvents
  • Non-hazardous
  • Ozone Safe and Full VOC Compliance

Benefits

  • It penetrates deeply into concrete to densify and harden surfaces to help prevent the entry of moisture and other foreign matter.
  • Dustproof and improves chemical, petroleum, and abrasion resistance of treated surfaces.
  • Provides a permanent, attractive sheen with the ability to polish.
  • Protects against scratching or peeling.
  • It provides a tough, protected surface that will not yellow, discolor, or show pedestrian or vehicular traffic wear marks.
  • Improves light reflectance.
  • Ready to use from the container and easy to apply.
  • Photocatalytic Oxidation naturally decomposes airborne pollutants and VOCs
  • Reduced Carbon Footprint
  • Protection against mold and mildew staining
  • Reduced atmospheric pollutant soiling
  • Does not add dimension and can be applied in multiple coats

Use Instructions

Fresh Concrete Application

  1. Coverage Rate: 300 ft.²/gallon. (varies depending on the finish and porosity of the surface)
  2. Apply using a low-pressure sprayer or by spreading evenly with a soft-bristled broom.
  3. Do not allow material to puddle on the surface.
  4. No further application steps are required for fresh concrete.

Cured (Old) Concrete Application

  1. Coverage Rate: 200 ft.²/gallon. (varies depending on the finish and porosity of the surface)
  2. Saturate the surface using a sprayer, squeegee, or broom.
  3. Keep the surface wet with NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz for a minimum of 30 minutes. (A range of 30-60 minutes may be required depending on temperature and conditions.)
  4. Pay attention to porous and/or dry areas.
    1. These areas must always be kept wet with NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz.

  1. Once the surface begins to gel and becomes slippery, immediately spray the surface with a light water mist.
  2. Scrub the surface with a broom or mechanical scrubber to increase penetration.
  3. Continue to work product into the surface for another 5-10 minutes or until the NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz becomes gelled and slippery for a second time.
  4. Then, THOROUGHLY flush the surface with water.
  5. During the flushing process, agitate the surface with a broom to aid in the removal of any excess product.
  6. Remove all excess material with a mop or squeegee.
  7. Thoroughly squeegee the surface dry.
  8. If there are slippery patches, this is an indication that there is still excess NewEraSeal™ Liquid Quartz
    1. These areas should be re-flushed and squeegeed again until the entire surface is dry.
  9. Extremely porous surfaces may require a second application.

Precautions

Do not apply if the temperature of the concrete is below 35° F or above 135° F. KEEP FROM FREEZING. If frozen, the product should be thawed and agitated slightly prior to use.

Burnishing

Not required, but can be burnished to a high sheen on steel trowel concrete floors. A high-speed burnisher (2000-2200 rpm) with an appropriate maintenance pad is needed.

Drying Time: 2-4 hours. Dries very quickly on new, virgin concrete. Drying times may be extended on existing (old) concrete due to surface conditions. Restrict foot traffic to at least four hours; 12 hours is preferable.
