NewEraTreat™ Lift Off is a biodegradable and extremely strong stripper that effectively removes most clear and pigmented epoxy, polyaspartic, and polyurethane coatings from hard surfaces. It is safe to use on wood, metal, concrete, fiberglass, ceramic, VCT, stone tiles and various masonry surfaces, from floors and walls. Does not contain methylene chloride or other solvents, it is non-flammable and exceptionally low to no odor, designed for all interior and exterior applications.

Use Instructions

1. Do not dilute or alter packaged material.
2. Always test product on a small surface area to adjust rates and times.
3. Protect surrounding surfaces by plastic drop cloth.
4. Apply liberally on the surface to be cleaned.
5. Dwell time will depend on the cleaning target and on its mil thickness, approximate time between 1–6 hours.
6. Use natural-bristle brush, spray, or roller for even application.
7. Allow to stand on the surface until coating starts to wrinkle or begins to look dry and turn powdery.
8. Lift coating with a wide putty knife or by scrubbing.
   • For stubborn spots, agitate with scrubbing pad or hard bristle brush.
   • Use small hard bristle brush to remove material from grout joints.
9. For difficult removal, and multi-layer epoxy coating, above procedures may be repeated.
10. Rinse area with water, mop, and squeegee, or use a wet vacuum to pick up excess wetness and debris.
11. Neutralize surface with water prior to applying any type of floor wax or finish.
    • For best results, use KlarX™ Neutral 7 for this process.

Tips

• If NewEraTreat™ Lift Off puddles or gathers around a low spot, spread out the stripper evenly away from the low area.
• For stripping floor surfaces, apply to smaller areas at a time for ideal control and workability.
• Dwell time will depend on the mil thickness of the existing epoxy or polyurethane coating.
• Standard dwell time from contact to strip is normally between 1 to 6 hours depending on the surface temperature and type of coating on the surface.
  • We recommend testing a small area to determine dwell time for your specific application.
• Keep product away from drywall, wallpaper, glass, aluminum windows, and painted doors & frames.

Cleanup and Disposal

• Collect all stripped coating material (hard and soft gunk) into a plastic container for proper disposal.
• Rinse and mop floor with water.
• If necessary, use a scrubbing pad to remove hidden residue from cracks, joints, and dings from the floor.
• Mop and rinse with neutral cleaner.
• Let floor dry completely before applying any type of new sealer.
  • Using a wet vac will speed up drying time.

Storage and Handling

Keep the container tightly sealed after each use.

Do not mix with other cleaning products or with polish.

Store between 40 and 100 F.
